The North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota provides almost anything a resident could want in a community. The NDSU neighborhood covers almost half of the University area and residential areas to the south and west of the campus.
Dakota Drive curves from the northwestern edge of the NDSU neighborhood to 7th Avenue North on the south. 7th Avenue North is the southern border. The eastern boundary is created by one road that changes names at it runs from south to north. On the lower half of NDSU it is called County Road 81. After crossing 12th Avenue North, about midway inside the community, the name changes to US 81 Business. Above the neighborhood inside the University area the name changes once again to North University Drive.
The residential area of the NDSU neighborhood offers an eclectic mix of apartments and houses in a variety of styles and sizes. Streets throughout the area have wide sidewalks making it easy for students and residents to explore the area. A United States Post Office is conveniently located on North University Drive just south of Administration Avenue. The zip code for the area is 58102.
Restaurants and coffee shops are available within easy walking distance on the main roads in NDSU. Just north of 15th Avenue North, residents will find a soccer practice field, football practice field, and the Schlanser Running Track. The North Dakota State University Library can be found on Albrecht Boulevard above 12th Avenue North.
The University and the NDSU neighborhood are northeast of the junction of Interstates 29 and 94. Just to the east of NDSU residents can enjoy several parks on both the east and west of the river that marks the border between North Dakota and Minnesota. Hector International Airport and the Fargo Air Museum are north of the University campus.
