Willow Creek Neighborhood

The neighborhood of Willow Creek is located in Gastonia, North Carolina. It is part of Gaston County. The south side of the neighborhood is bordered by East Hudson Boulevard. On the western side, Windy Rush Lane forms a rough boundary. Willow Creek Drive is to the north and the eastern boundary is formed by Armstrong Park Road. The area incorporates Willow Creek Drive, Riding Trail Road, Bent Branch Street, Hollybrook Avenue, and Silverberry Street. Willow Creek is a residential subdivision formed by single family homes. There are, however, businesses and commercial properties nearby.

There are several parks in the immediate vicinity of Willow Creek. George Preston Park features many amenities for adults and children alike. There are 4 lighted soccer fields and 4 lighted Little League Softball Fields. There are 7 miles of hiking trails, a playground, dog park, mountain bike trails, and a Horsehoe Complex. Proposed additions include a picnic area, Equestrian trails and a fishing lake.

Another nearby park is Lineberger Park. It has the distinguished reputation of being Gastonia’s very first park. It is 18.5 acres in size. The amenities are many, including a playground, pool, picnic areas, and a state of the art skate park. There are lighted tennis courts, a lighted softball/baseball field, a lighted basketball court, and access to the Avon Creek and the Catawba Creek Greenway. The Gastonia National Golf Course, the Mountain View Golf Course, and the Green Meadows Golf Course are all a short commute away from the Willow Creek subdivision.

The Willow Creek neighborhood is within easy access to the Gastonia Municipal Airport and is also near the Gaston Memorial Hospital. Willow Creek’s central location makes it simple to shop, dine and partake in many of the local entertainment options.
