Green Oaks Neighborhood

Rolling greens, towering oaks, and mature homes make up the neighborhood of Green Oaks in Concord. Located in the southeastern portion of the city, this neighborhood allows easy access to both Concord and Charlotte – all within a quiet, secluded suburban location.

Green Oaks is a mature neighborhood with varying architecture. Homes vary in age, with many dating back to the 1960s. Most lots are large, with some measuring a half acre or more. Children living in the Green Oaks neighborhood attend A. T. Allen Elementary School, Mount Pleasant Middle School, and Mount Pleasant High School.

The neighborhood of Green Oaks consists of two main roads: Hamby Branch Road and Club View Drive. Both of these roads overlook the highlight of the neighborhood, Green Oaks Golf Course. The course, which is flanked by shade trees, consists of rolling hills and elevated greens. Four ponds and a creek allow for natural beauty, as well as a more challenging game of golf. In addition to providing a full 18 regulation holes of golf, Green Oaks Golf course features a club house with casual dining, pro shop, chipping green, and putting green. Green Oaks Golf Course was constructed in 1967 and was built over the Phoenix Gold Mine, the second largest gold mine of its time in the area.

The Green Oaks neighborhood is located approximately 30 minutes from the Jeff Gordon Racing School and the Nascar Speedpark, two of Concord’s favorite attractions for both residents and visitors.

Green Oaks provides a quiet, rural setting close to daily amenities, with the benefit of easy access to metropolitan areas.
