As a historic district listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Camp Mabry is one of the oldest active military installations in Texas. It was developed in 1892 and is currently home to Texas Army National Guard as well as the Texas State Guard and the Texas Air National Guard. The installation also contains the Texas Military Forces Museum, which allows visitors (with photo ID) and features free guided tours.
Camp Mabry is located in northern Austin, just east of Lake Austin. To find an apartment in the Camp Mabry area, look in the communities of Rosedale, Balcones Park, the Cliffs of Austin, Colorado Foothills, Highland Park Court, West Austin, and Tarrytown.
