Verndale Street is THE low-key Allston move if you want to stay close to BU but skip the chaos of Packard’s Corner. It’s quieter, more residential, but still smack in the middle of everything — bars, restaurants, coffee, groceries, the B and C Lines, and tons of bus routes like the 66 and 57. Getting anywhere is easy.
The buildings here are clean, solid, and student-friendly — big rooms, hardwood floors, and a mix of classic Boston style with some updated finishes depending on the unit. It’s mostly students and young professionals, so the vibe is busy but not out of control.
Harvard Ave? Basically right outside your door. Sushi, pizza, late-night takeout, bubble tea, dive bars — it’s all right there. And if you want to switch it up, Coolidge Corner’s super close too for indie shops and a chill night out.
