Garden Springs Neighborhood

The Garden Springs neighborhood in southwestern Lexington, Kentucky takes its name from the local park within its boundaries, not surprisingly also named Garden Springs. This affordable community is bordered by Lane Allen Road to the north, New Circle Road to the south, Harrodsburg Road to the east, and Georgian Way to the west.

Also supporting the family-friendly environment is Garden Springs’ rich educational offerings, from the well-regarded Garden Springs Elementary School and Beaumont Middle School to Sullivan University, the largest private university in the state and located in the neighborhood. Sullivan University is particularly well known for its culinary program, whose instructors and campus have been featured on the nationally popular television Food Network.

Housing in Garden Springs consists predominantly of single-family dwellings with well-maintained landscaping, with abundant tree-lined streets. Its propinquity to downtown Lexington makes it a perfect commute via Harrodsburg Road for those who work in the city’s commercial center.
