Oak Hammock Park is a city park of 48 acres that is a short drive away from Tradition. It offers more than three miles of nature trails below a hammock of oak and palm trees. A playground offers entertainment for children from ages 2-12. Dogs are allowed in the park on leashes. A large picnic pavilion with tables and a large grill is available, and two fishing piers offer access to the canal.
Near Southwest Village Parkway residents can walk or bike to a selection of stores and restaurants. Among them is a Publix supermarket.
The PGA Golf Club is located near this neighborhood. It offers three 18-hole courses that were designed by Tom Fazio and Pete Nye.
