The Mall at Millenia is one of Orlando’s more upscale shopping malls, featuring stores like Prada, Armani, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Cartier, Tiffani, Jimmy Choo, and Tory Burch. Its anchor stores are Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, and Bloomingdale’s. After the mall opened in 2002, the surrounding area (which was previously undeveloped) grew into the neighborhood of Millenia. Due to trademarking, “Millenia” was intentionally misspelled.
The mall is at the center of this neighborhood, which extends from I-4 east to John Young Parkway. It ends near Oak Ridge Road, adjacent to another popular shopping destination: the Orlando International Premium Outlets. Millenia is just off International Drive, so when you rent an apartment in Millenia you’ll be close to a variety of popular destinations and tourist areas located on I-drive: Ripley’s Believe It or Not Orlando, Pointe Orlando, the Orange County Convention Center, Sea World Orlando, Universal Studios Orlando, Wet ‘n’ Wild, Discovery Cove, and Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. Disney World is a short distance away, just off I-4.
Downtown Orlando is about six miles northeast of Millenia, and residents who commute into the city can do so via I-4. Downtown contains major businesses, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, the Grand Bohemian Gallery, the Amway Center (home of the NBA’s Orlando Magic), the Beacham, Bob Carr Theater, and beautiful Lake Eola Park. Downtown Orlando is known for its fantastic shops and restaurants, especially along Church Street. But you won’t have to travel far at all to find a variety of shopping and dining – this is a major tourism destination, and you’ll find everything just outside your new apartment in Millenia.
