Lake Underhill Neighborhood

Named for the expansive lake that is bisected by the East-West Expressway, Lake Underhill is a traditional neighborhood with mostly ranch-style, one-story homes and condo and apartment complexes along Conway Road. Home prices in the Lake Underhill area vary widely, with condos as low as $39,000 and large single-family homes selling at more than $300,000.

Located in the 32803 zip code, Lake Underhill is bordered on the north by the East-West Expressway (408), on the south by Clemwood Drive, on the west by South Crystal Lake Drive, and on the east by South Conway Road. Residents have quick access to downtown (less than 10 minutes), and the University of Central Florida (less than 25 minutes), via Route 408.

Pilots of small jets and small planes relish residing in the Lake Underhill neighborhood because it’s located just a few blocks from the Orlando Executive Airport, which has two fixed base operators and is open 24 hours a day.

Boaters like living in the Lake Underhill area because they have easy access to Lake Underhill, as well as to nearby Lake Susannah.

Lake Underhill residents are literally surrounded by parks. Colonel Joe Kittinger Park, a park dedicated to an Orlando adventurer and noted hot air balloonist, is a 5.5-acre park with views of Lake Underhill and of planes taking off and landing at the Orlando Executive Airport. Cherry Tree Park is almost one acre with a playground, pavilion, picnic tables and grills, and lots of shade. Lake Como Park has footbridges, azaleas, oak trees, and flowering crape myrtles. Festival Park, a gathering point for residents who live near the Orlando Executive Airport, hosts numerous ethnic and musical festivals, and it has amenities such as beach-style volleyball courts and a skateboard park.

For shopping, residents gravitate to the Orlando Fashion Square Mall, Colonial Plaza, and Colonial Town Center complexes, which are less than a five-minute drive from the Lake Underhill area.
