Rio Pinar Lakes Neighborhood

With its large front yards and tree-lined sidewalks, Rio Pinar Lakes is a quiet escape from the bustle of nearby city life. The community contains green belts and a lake, giving it a slow, small-town feel. Many of the residences, especially in the southeast quadrant of the community, have lake views. To the west of the community residents enjoy the sight of a thick greenbelt.

Rio Pinar Lakes encompasses area code 32822. The community is bounded by Rio Pinar Lakes Boulevard to the north and east, Curry Ford Road to the south, and Palm Creek Avenue to the West. The area is primarily residential, although you’ll find some nearby commercial buildings such as shops and restaurants.

Home designs in Rio Pinar Lakes run the gamut, from older homes and duplexes built in the 1960s and 70s, to newer residences constructed in the 2000s. The neighborhood offers multi-level and split-level homes, sprawling Ranch-style houses, and townhomes.

Of the many appealing aspects of Rio Pinar Lakes is the nearby prestigious Rio Pinar Country Club, which opened in 1957. The club houses a world-class golf course that has hosted a variety of national championship events, including the PGA Tour and the LPGA Tour.

Also of interest is the East Campus of the Valencia Community College, which offers award-winning faculty and has received national recognition for several of its concentration areas, including music and filmmaking. The educational institution has a highly diverse population of about 15 thousand students.

Not far out of the Rio Pinar Lakes community is the Florida Hospital of East Orlando. Built in 1941, the facility offers residents comprehensive medical care in a state-of-the-art environment.
