Las Olas Isles Neighborhood

Surrounded by channels of water and tropical Florida landscaping, Las Olas Isles is one of Fort Lauderdale’s more recognizable neighborhoods. Featuring single-family residences, many boasting waterfront views, Las Olas Isles has often been described as one of the most beautiful communities in Broward County.

Located on the east side of downtown Fort Lauderdale, and less than a mile inland from the Atlantic Ocean, Las Olas Iles borders the south side of East Las Olas Boulevard – one of the city’s most notable streets. The boulevard was constructed during the early 20th century and has been the address to many notable figures, including former Vice President Dan Quayle, designer Gloria Vanderbilt, and singing duo Sonny and Cher.

Las Olas Boulevard extends through the heart of downtown. The street is known for its wide array of cafes and specialty shops. From French cuisine to flavors of Italy, there are multitudes of dining establishments to please even the finickiest of palates.

The downtown area offers the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and the Museum of Discovery and Science. Broward Center hosts various plays and concerts featuring some of the biggest names in the music industry. The museum is home to the AutoNation IMAX Theater – the largest screen in all South Florida.

Several bus stops line the community’s north border on Las Olas Boulevard, with many more stops located throughout downtown.
