Garvey Neighborhood

Garvey is perfect for a family starting out or a family new to the area. Small town charm is the key to this neighborhood’s success with a wonderful community and small town appeal.

There are several outdoor activities for active residents. Garvey Park offers much for locals to do with a gymnasium, baseball, and softball fields, lighted tennis courts, two playgrounds, and more. A great place to cool down during the hot summer months is the Garvey Pool. The Garvey Pool is open during the summer months, offering a wonderful place to cool off from the hot weather with friends. Garvey pool also offer swimming lessons, birthday party packages, and private rental. Another great park is the Rosemead Park that includes a half-mile fitness track for fitness-minded people. This park also includes a swimming pool, picnic shelters, barbeque pits, softball, and baseball fields.

Foodies love to call Garvey home for its great variety of local fare. Phong Dinh is a great Vietnamese restaurant. This restaurant is best known for its delicious baked fish dish but also boasts some interesting dinner choices. Jade Seafood & BBQ Restaurant is a popular restaurant offering the combination of Cantonese food and barbeque meat dishes. This is a family-friendly restaurant that is locally owned, featuring some of the best chow mein around.

“The Square Shopping Center,” recently remodeled, might be a great place to go shopping and to enjoy a bite to eat as well. This Chinese Shopping Center was recently remodeled to help draw in the younger generation, including variety of stores and an incredible food court, including a gourmet seafood restaurant and then also Ledo Cafe.

Garvey is a wonderful community with a rich cultural experience from great ethnic food choices to beautiful parks and swimming pools, there is plenty for everyone to experience in Garvey.
