Crescent Park Neighborhood

Tree-lined streets, old and new house styles, and proximity to schools, parks, and downtown Palo Alto are a few reasons why Crescent Park is an excellent neighborhood. Apartments with modern amenities are located outside the upscale, residential neighborhood. Students in Crescent Park walk to public schools in the Palo Alto Unified School District. Eleanor Padre Park and Hopkins Creek side Park are also in walking distance. The Edgewood Shopping Center is nearby.

Caltrain is the public transportation system linking residents and visitors to San Francisco Bay Area destinations. The Stanford Marguerite shuttle is a free bus service that takes riders to popular locations in the city. There is also an alternative to automobiles and public transportation. As part of a world- famous university town with a large student population, Crescent Park residents can use the extensive pedestrian and bicycle paths in Palo Alto.

Crescent Park is close to the outdoor recreation opportunities of Palo Alto. Locals and tourists can explore the Baylands Nature Preserve, where a flat walking trail allows visitors to observe wildlife in a natural setting. The visitor center is kid-friendly, and has a boardwalk and duck pond to entertain the children.

The Palo Alto Municipal Golf Course is an 18-hole, 6,800-yard course located next to the Baylands Nature Preserve. The popular course, with a club house, driving range, putting greens, and practice bunker, is affordable yet challenging to any golfer.

The neighborhood is close to the non-profit Elizabeth F. Gamble House and Gardens. The 1902 Colonial Georgian house on a 2.3-acre estate features formal and working gardens. Self-guided tours of the historic home, surrounding buildings, and demonstration gardens are available during the week.
