Westlake Neighborhood

The Westlake neighborhood is bordered on the eastern side by downtown Los Angeles, California and on the west side by MacArthur Park. The Hollywood Freeway runs along the north side. This densely-populated area is served by the Metro Red Line and Purple Line subway trains through the Westlake/MacArthur Park Station.

Westlake is a community of residential developments, apartment complexes, condos, shops, and restaurants — including some famous landmarks, such as the Original Tommy’s hamburger chain, which opened in Westlake in 1946. It is next door to the Walt Disney Concert Hall, LA Live, the Los Angeles Convention Center, and the Orpheum Theatre. Less than three miles north of the University of Southern California, Westlake is a popular location for college students.
