Sierra Lakes Neighborhood

Sierra Lakes is a neighborhood within the city of Fontana, California, located to the east of Los Angeles and to the northeast of Orange County. This quiet, residential area with meandering streets is located north of the 210 Freeway, southeast of the 15 Freeway, and west of the 215 Freeway. The neighborhood is also located at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains, which include the picturesque and expansive Angeles National Forest.

Residents of this area are invited to take advantage of a number of local parks, such as North Fontana Park or Charles Koehler Park. North Fontana Park is within walking distance of most of the Sierra Lakes neighborhood. In addition, the neighborhood has relatively easy access to the mountain communities of San Bernardino County, which include Lake Arrowhead, Running Springs, Crestline and Big Bear. During the winter months, people can enjoy skiing and other winter sports in these areas. These communities also feature hiking and boating during the summer months.

Golfers can tee up at the El Rancho Verde Country Club, which is located just a few miles away. Shopping venues include the Citrus Shopping Center, the Rialto Square Shopping Center and the Ontario Mills Shopping Center, fewer than 10 miles away, which also features a number of entertainment options.

Travel in and around Southern California can be accomplished by using the extensive system of freeways. For those residents who want to travel outside the area, Sierra Lakes offers a choice of airports. Both the San Bernardino International Airport and the Ontario International Airport are located within approximately 15 miles from the Sierra Lakes neighborhood.
