You have your own private space with a full kitchen to relax and watch the world go by, with all kinds of beachfront activities just outside. The beach/sunset views from your home are completely unobstructed, and you are less than 70 steps away from the sand. There is no off-street parking for this unit. Street parking is free. There is plentiful bus service, plus a free shuttle that will take you to the West Seattle Water Taxi. You've also got all the ride share scooters and bikes just across the street to explore the beauties of Alki Beach from the 2.5 mile paved jogging/bike path. Alki Beach is unique in Seattle as one of the few sandy beaches in the area, and perhaps the most popular beach in the summer. With plenty of shared bikes and scooters for rent, a jogging/biking path, fire pits, picnic tables and a bathhouse/art studio, this beach is popular year-round. Alki Beach Park is also part of the renowned "Whale Trail", a series of sites to view whales and other marine mammals from shore along the Pacific Coast. The best time to see orca whales from Alki is during the fall and winter, when the southern resident pods return to this area. West Seattle itself is also a gem, and is easily accessible by Water Taxi, bus, car, or ride share. Blocks of amazing restaurants are just next door. You're a few blocks away from a free shuttle that takes you to the Water Taxi, whisking you across Elliot Bay right to Seattle’s waterfront for walking access to Pike Place Market, historic Pioneer Square, and great Chinese/Thai/Japanese/Vietnamese food in the International District. The sports stadiums of Seattle Seahawks, Mariners, and Sounders are also right there, as well as the light rail station for access to the rest of Seattle and SeaTac airport. That same free shuttle can also take you to the two main centers of West Seattle, the Alaska Junction and the Admiral Junction with grocery stores, many more restaurants, and shopping.
