Alki Beach Park is an active place with lots of cafes, restaurants, and bike/kayak/paddle board rentals, but can be serene and peaceful if you'd like it to be. Alki Beach Park is also part of the renowned "Whale Trail", a series of sites to view whales and other marine mammals from shore along the Pacific Coast. The best time to see orca whales from Alki is during the fall and winter, when the southern resident pods return to this area. West Seattle itself has always had a small town vibe, but is easily accessible by Water Taxi, bus, car, or ride share. Quiet hours are from 9 pm to 8 am. No shoes are allowed in the home. There may be guests staying in the unit below you, so please keep your shoes off and avoid loud TV and other sounds in consideration.
