Serving E01 to O03, the Bungalow community is one of five on base in Dahlgren, Va. Located on the scenic Potomac River, these are charming three bedroom, single family homes. All homes have a backyard, detached garage, screened-in front porch, and central air. Several houses feature details such as fireplaces and curio cabinets. Community amenities include playgrounds, basketball courts, walking trails, picnic areas, an aquatics center, and a multi-purpose recreation and youth center. Other on-base facilities include a cinema, a bowling alley, a library, an exchange, and a commissary. The vibrant town of Fredericksburg is only 45 minutes from base, and it offers ample shopping, recreation and dining opportunities. The renowned Dahlgren School (pre-K through eighth grade) located on base is the only DoD Navy school in the country. To take advantage of this opportunity, all students must reside on the installation in Liberty Military Housing. King George Middle School and King George High School are located only a short distance from the installation, and the Mary Washington Healthcare and Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center are a 45-minute drive from base.
