The house was built in the 1940's and remodeled with an addition in 1992. It has a separate, two-car garage, but has no garage doors. Probably the biggest concern is the upstairs bathroom is very small. There is a large landscape with lots of privacy from the street and a large, shared lawn area that merges into the neighbors. It has a fiberoptic box on site and is ready to be hooked up to the house as needed. The house is on a corner lot with a residential street on one side and a pedestrian walking lane on the other. The was developed by the city to aid pedestrian access to schools. It is not open to motorized vehicles.
This was our home for 20 years and then was rented to our parents for another 20. They have recently moved to an assisted living facility and we are renting the property to help cover that cost. We are first time landlords and trying to learn as we go along. We live next door to the rental property.
The house is about 3 blocks from a brand new elementary school, a couple of miles from a brand new junior high school, and about 3 miles from the fairly new Green Canyon High School. Hyde Park is a great community and is located about 4 miles from the university. It is midway between retail outlets in Smithfield and North Logan.
