Flash to 2010 when my entrepreneurial mother had grown the business managing 15+ luxury properties on her own before I started working with her. Since 2015 I've seen the ins and out of vacation rentals and property management. With this knowledge and experience, I can help others interested in buying a vacation rental themselves! For sellers, I can show them the value and potential rental income that would appeal to people moving in. Over the past few years as a Texas REALTOR, I have earned designations as a specialist for second home and resort markets as well as being an accredited buyer rep. The 2024 real estate market has been VERY COMPETITIVE, and the trend is forecasted to continue. Inventory has been increased in comparison to the past 2 years. Buyers and sellers need strong representation and a good negotiator on their side, and I want to give you that edge! In general, there has been an influx of people moving to Texas from other states and their metropolitan areas. On a local level, the job market is growing in the Rio Grande Valley. Companies like SpaceX and Tesla, as well as the UTRGV medical school, are investing in our region. This will likely contribute to the steady increase in our commerce and tourism. Another factor to consider is the “work from home” culture. It has become more common and accepted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This has allowed for individuals to be more flexible with where they live and work. So, why not work from the beach?
