Historic Midlothian, known as “the Southern Star of the Dallas/Fort Worth Area,” is located 25 miles south of Dallas and Fort Worth. Home of the Midlothian Higher Education Center, Midlothian offers many year-round events, including a weekly farmers market. The city’s historic downtown features unique shops and fabulous “Mom & Pop” restaurants. Local sights include the Midlothian Heritage Museum, Mockingbird Nature Park, Old Town Historic District, and the Midlothian Conference Center. For those interested in exploring the Dallas-Fort Worth area, there is the Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center, Grand Prairie Premium Outlets, and Xtreme Raceway Park. Smoking of any type is not allowed, and violations are subject to a $450 fine plus the cost to clean, deodorize, and repair damages. Parties or events are not allowed. Only house-trained pets are allowed and must be kept off beds and furniture, and pet cleaning fees will be applied. Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 10am. To comply with local noise ordinances and occupancy regulations, and prevent unauthorized parties, a noise alert device has been installed in the home that measures decibels and sends alerts in case reasonable noise levels are exceeded.
