Former “Polski Dom Hanlovi” translated to “Polish Trading House”. This building started out as the “Polish Club” for Rossford’s Polish immigrant community started by Libby Owen’s Ford employees. It was there headquarters on the lower right half, a dry good store on the lower left half, and a dance hall on the second floor. It also housed the Rossford library and was last known as the former Polish club bar. It was renovated into five loft apartments in the early 2000s. Some of the tin ceilings that existed 14 feet above the dance floor were removed, the beams exposed and two of the upstairs units now have 26 foot ceilings, sky lights and refinished maple hardwood floors. Each unit in this building presents itself as a unique adapted space. There are now three lofted upstairs units and two lower units. The former “Polka Room” in the rear of the building is now the parking garage.
