Pacific Lutheran University - Tacoma, WA

Pacific Lutheran University is located directly south of Tacoma, Washington in the suburban community of Parkland. It is adjacent to McChord Air Force Base. As a private, liberal arts university, PLU was established in 1890 and is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The campus is located on 156 acres and enrolls about 3,500 students. Student-to-faculty ratio is 15 to one.

The PLU Lutes participate in NCAA Division III as part of the Northwest Conference. They are involved in 20 varsity sports, including football, basketball, baseball, and soccer. School colors are black and gold.

When searching for your PLU area apartment to rent, be sure to look in Parkland, a beautiful community just eight miles south of Tacoma. Spanaway, a community just south of Parkland, is another great option. Lakewood, University Place, and Puyallup are also located a short distance from PLU. If you prefer a more urban location for your apartment, Tacoma’s southern neighborhoods, such as Hilltop, South End, and Central Tacoma, are ideal.
