University of Scranton - Scranton, PA
Rolling hills, a fast-moving brook, a nearby river, and open green space may at first give the impression of a pastoral landscape, but this is the setting for Scranton, a mid-sized city in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This region – which includes the Pocono Mountains – is known for its numerous attractions: casinos, ski resorts, the Electric City Trolley Museum, the Steamtown National Historic Site, the Houdini Museum, and more.
The University of Scranton, a private Jesuit university, was founded in 1888. Located on a bend of the Roaring Brook in downtown Scranton, this university features a beautiful 58-acre campus between the Steamtown National Historic Site and Nay Aug Park Gorge and Waterfall. The university consists of four colleges and offers 61 bachelor’s degree programs and 25 master’s degree programs.
