Wright State University is a suburban university that was established in 1967. It is located in Fairborn, a suburban city on the northeast side of Dayton, although it has a Dayton address. The university contains eight colleges and offers associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
The United States Air Force donated much of the land that the university occupies from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The land is located along the north shore of Grand Lake St. Marys, and the 173 acres provide a beautiful setting for students.
