Columbia College Chicago is a private art college that was founded in 1890. It is located in the South Loop district of Chicago. The college consists of three schools: the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the School of Fine and Performing Arts, and the School of Media Arts.
As one of the largest art colleges in the US, nearly 12,000 students attend Columbia College Chicago. Other buildings include the Wabash Campus building, the Congress Campus building, and the South Michigan Campus building. The South Michigan Campus building was built in 1908 and contains the college library, departmental offices, student and faculty lounges, the college bookstore, and classrooms.
