Columbia College Chicago is a private art college that was founded in 1890. It is located in the South Loop district of Chicago. The college consists of three schools: the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the School of Fine and Performing Arts, and the School of Media Arts.

As one of the largest art colleges in the US, nearly 12,000 students attend Columbia College Chicago. When you look for an apartment in the Columbia College Chicago area, you’ll find that the buildings housing the college are unique. Most of the buildings were purchased by the college as it expanded and are located throughout the South Loop. The Alexandroff Campus Center, the main building, is located on Michigan Avenue. The building was built in 1906 and was one the era’s advanced, modern skyscrapers. The 15-story building includes a marble-embellished Art Deco lobby.

Other buildings include the Wabash Campus building, the Congress Campus building, and the South Michigan Campus building. The South Michigan Campus building was built in 1908 and contains the college library, departmental offices, student and faculty lounges, the college bookstore, and classrooms.
