The mini split AC unit ensures comfort year-round, while the curtains offer privacy or leafy views. The unique bathroom boasts a hand-built shower with galvanized tin walls and an overhead skylight, providing great water pressure and plenty of hot water from a tankless heater. The kitchenette includes a mini fridge, toaster oven, microwave, and hot water kettle, along with cups, plates, bowls, utensils, organic coffee, and a selection of teas. A small bistro set is also available for meals or work. Well-behaved pets are welcome with a $35 fee per pet per stay. Please inquire about our pet policy to ensure a happy stay for all. Unauthorized pets will incur a $200 charge. Situated on a 5-acre wooded lot, this property offers a magnificent getaway while being close to town. It's 10 minutes to The Barn and 15 minutes to the Carriage House for weddings, 15 minutes to the Ballroom at Saxapahaw, and 20 minutes to UNC Chapel Hill and its hospitals. The location is also 40 minutes from RDU Airport, making it convenient for travelers. This small space is ideal for short stays and is not suitable for those who have trouble with steps, as there are two steps up/down from the bedroom. Smoking is allowed only outside. The property has an outdoorsy feel, with potential sightings of squirrels, birds, and other wildlife. Bugs may be present, especially in the summer, as natural pest management strategies are used. The home is chemical and fragrance-free, and guests are asked to refrain from using fragrances inside, except for personal care products like shampoo.
