The house was originally the stables, generator room and maids quarters for a hotel built in 1907 for golfers at the Shinnecock and National Golf clubs. The ruins of the hotel are still on the property but hidden away. The service quarters were converted to a house in 1925. It stands on 7+ acres and has no neighbors, so very private. There are five/ six bedrooms, 2 living rooms, formal dining room, large kitchen and breakfast room, and 5 1/2 bathrooms.There is a fenced 20x40 heated pool with a changing room,barbecue, etc,flower gardens and extensive lawns. My caretaker lives in a small cottage on the property, separate from the main house. It has been our family home for about 40 years, is heated and air conditioned and extremely private.
