It is on the first floor of our home facing the front of our property. - Fully furnished. - Bed linens and towels are provided. - Utilities are included. - Maintenance (plowing, mowing) is included. I'm a self employed, single mom w 2 kids in college, 2 goofy doodles and 1 shy rescue kitty. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate additional pets. As a former Brooklynite, I enjoy both hosting and helping others get to know the beautiful Hudson Valley, which has been my home for the past 20 years! Many friendships have resulted from sharing our home with others from different backgrounds and stages of life. I do all that I can to ensure we are a compatible bunch, including background & credit checks, interviews, reference checks, house rules review and meeting face-to-face. In the past we've hosted a Chilean architecture professor, French tea taster, Hospice music therapist, traveling medical dietician, mathematics PhD student, a Brooklyn sculptor and a post doc studying the universe and gravitational waves(!) We are in the town of Milan, which is rural and picturesque, but also very close to the charming villages of Rhinebeck and Red Hook. Four wheel drive / AWD vehicle highly recommended during snowy months! The Taconic State Parkway, Amtrak (Rhinecliff) and regional public transportation via bus are 10-20 minutes away. NYC is a 90 minute train ride away. Hope to meet you soon!
