East Northport, a hamlet in Suffolk County, New York, traces its roots to 1656 when English settlers purchased land from Chief Asharoken of the Matinecock tribe. The community, which grew from the settlements of Larkfield and Clay Pitts, is now part of the town of Huntington. The Long Island Rail Road station, established in 1873, continues to serve residents with transportation connections throughout the region.
East Northport spans approximately 5.16 square miles and includes several public schools, including East Northport Middle School, Fifth Avenue Elementary, and Pulaski Road School.
