Airy, bright loft with 13 ft. ceilings. Tall, wide windows provide a view over the City Museum off to the horizon. The Terra Cotta Lofts are in a 12-story historic building with 99 residential units and a strong sense of community. There are sensible condo rules about general courtesy to neighbors. The building rules specifically call for quiet hours after 10 pm every night. Moreover, there is about two feet of concrete between each floor. You are unlikely to hear any noise other than fireworks and an occasional trash truck. Monthly rent covers most utilities (water, sewer, trash). You pay only for electric and internet. The HVAC system is actually geothermal and is tied in to an array of pipes with water that is relatively warm in winter, relatively cool in summer. Unit 1101 is on the north side of the building, so it does not heat up during the summer months. The unit comes with a storage bin in the basement (about 4ft by 8ft) and a dedicated garage space (Nr. 200) in the Terra Cotta Lofts Garage. Access to the garage is by a magnetic card, the residence building access is by fob or by smartphone application. As a tenant, you will have direct access to me. I own the unit. I also lived in unit 1101 for a few years before moving to another (larger) unit in the same building. No problem with cats or small dogs--if you have a larger dog, that may be an issue (problem is mainly the scratching of floors). There is dog park about 3 blocks away, but most people just take their dogs for a walk in the immediate vicinity and use plastic bags for cleanup.
