Located on about 77 acres of land leased from the Cheyenne Regional Airport, the Cheyenne Air National Guard Base is home to the Wyoming Air National Guard 153rd Airlift Wing. The base, located about two miles north of downtown Cheyenne, employs roughly 180 full-time personnel and includes five administrative and 18 industrial buildings. Once a month, the base population swells to 1,200 personnel, when unit training drills are conducted.
