The mission of the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, Georgia is to repair and rebuilt support equipment for combat. It is home to the Marine Corps Logistics Command’s Maintenance Center, one of only two such facilities. This unique base also contains an archaeological site where over 200 Native American artifacts were discovered in 1973. Located in southwestern Georgia, the base is surrounded by peach orchards and oak trees. Dating back to 1952, the base is located on over 3,300 acres.
