This non-smoking apartment is one of four completely independent apartments in a house that sits on the Huron River overlooking Frog Island and Depot Town. I seek a non-smoking tenant who can occupy the space in early July. Among other things, I look for stable income in the neighborhood of 30% of your rental obligation, or in this case, income of somewhere around $35,000/year. Because of it's tiny size, I do not allow couples in this apartment. The house does not have central air conditioning. If you desire air conditioning, you'll need to have a window mounted air conditioning unit. This is a small studio apartment that sits in one of the best Ypsilanti locations. The house sits on the Huron River and offers a short walk to Depot Town, Frog Island, Riverside Park, and so many other attractions that make Ypsilanti great. The house itself is over 150 years old and it's important that people living here understand the ramifications of living in such an old structure. Even though you don't share living space with the other occupants of the house, you have to understand that noise within such an old home is easily transmitted as well as smells; if your neighbor is an early riser and enjoys making pancakes, you'll likely wake up to the smell of pancakes! The house has a common area laundry room in the basement with coin-operated machines. A load of wash is $1.25 and $1.75 will buy you 30 minutes of drying time. The apartment has one off-street parking spot. Your guests will need to park on the street. City of Ypsilanti parking permits are not required on Huron St. Rent includes heat, water, and hot water. You will have an electric bill and a gas bill that covers only your stove. According to DTE on 4/21/22, the current tenant's average monthly cost for Gas and Electricity as calculated based on the last 12 month's history, is $65.00/month. Look at the pictures.
