Penryhn was built in 1910 and it follows in the tradition of more well known "Berkshire Cottages" such as Springlawn, Venfort Hall, and Seranak at Tanglewood. The best of the "cottages" of the late 19th century and early 20th were built on sites that offered magnificent views from grand terraces and Penryhn is no exception. The restoration of Penryhn that was recently completed has expanded the main terrace, added a pool, and upgraded the screen porch, all of which have the benefit of expansive western views of the hills of the Berkshires accented by wonderful sunsets. The interior of the house was restored with great attention to traditional detailing while at the same time the space was reorganized, modernized, and equipped for today's style of living.
