About APT Correlative Housing - The Coolidge
Landmark historic building in the heart of beautiful downtown Melrose. This community boasts spectacularly unique and extraordinarily large one, two and three bedroom apartment homes.
Built in 1897, this historic Victorian era edifice was originally the Calvin Coolidge school. High school students first matriculated here, followed by elementary aged school children and finally, middle school age residents of the downtown Melrose neighborhood were educated here. It remained an active and vibrant school through the 1970s. With cathedral ceilings and impressive windows, it was initially reimagined as a luxury condominium property. That project never quite came to fruition and in the 1980s the building was purchased and redeveloped by an affiliate of APT Management, Inc. and carefully converted to modern luxury apartment homes.
