About The Continental Towers at Vermont Place
The Continental Apartments at Vermont Place are located on Meridian Street, just a few blocks north of Monument Circle. Continental Towers is undergoing a full scale renovation, with availability starting December 2025! Short-term leases are available for unrenovated apartments at discounted rates during this time. The Blacherne Apartments at Vermont Place are attached to the Continental. The Blacherne was completed in 1896 as a lavish apartment building on a scale Indianapolis had not yet seen. The Blacherne now houses 68 completely renovated apartments. Some of the features of these apartments include wood flooring, stainless steel appliances, and garage parking.
The Turnverein Apartments, located on 9th and Meridian, was constructed in 1914 originally as a German Athletic Club. During a 1980 renovation, a center atrium was added and the original ball room, natatorium, and gymnasium were turned into a full sized penthouse and 50 apartments. Many of these apartments still boast original stained glass windows and walnut woodwork. The Turnverein was added to the National Register of Historic places in 1983 and stands out as one of Indianapolis’ finest addresses.
