(Photos don't ever seem to do it justice, so the only one we've included is the view from the porch. Please come and see for yourself!)
This is NOT a slickly renovated plastic place with a dishwasher and central air, (far, far from it) but it does have such high ceilings that a loft bed could be constructed so out of the way you can use that bedroom as an office/studio/etc. as well as a spare bedroom, or whatever, doing double duty.*!
**Do you work late and/or sleep late? Well, this apartment might be perfect for you 'cause the back bedroom hardly gets any light and is surprisingly quiet as it's pretty much pressed against the building next door. (I know, normally not thought of as a virtue, but when life deals you lemons, you gotta make lemonade!) Additionally, the bedrooms are at opposite ends of the apartment, which affords an unusual level of privacy. There's a full closet in the living room (!!) plus a walk-in (sorta) closet in the rear bedroom, too!
Enjoy Thai food & sushi next door, Japanese food up the block, the best (some say) tacos in the city around the corner at La Pasadita, and the incredibly hot club/restaurant scene on Division! Speaking of heat -- building steam heat saves yoU about $100/month average, on your gas bill! There are coin-op washer & dryer in the basement you can use -- what more could you want? Oh yeah -- great Blue-Line transportation to the Loop or O'Hare Airport.
We have no parking to offer, but street parking is usually not too difficult nearby.
