Apartment is a second and third floor unit (two floors) in Savannah's wonderful historic district. There is a shared courtyard downstairs. The bedrooms are on the second floor, and include a door to a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The beds are both queen-size. The actual building was constructed in 1852. The kitchen has been remodeled. It is walking distance to two parks and many local eating establishments. There is ample permit-only street parking. A stacked washer & dryer are inside the half-bathroom. Lighting is all LED for lowest power consumption and generated heat. Air conditioning and heating are provided by a heat pump. This apartment is within a building constructed in 1852. Some of the original brickwork is still visible inside the apartment. The hardwood floor was added later and extends out to the rear walkway. The bay window faces Whitaker Street, and lets in afternoon sun. The furnishings are comfortable and provided with "put the groceries away, hang up your clothes, and start relaxing" in mind. We allow dogs as long as they are housebroken and above a certain age. There are numerous parks nearby where everyone walks their dogs, even though they are not fenced "dog parks" in the usual sense. Forsyth Park, the largest of the local parks, is a good place for running and outdoor exercise. As this apartment is in the Historic District of Savannah, there are numerous historical sites to see within a short walk of the apartment.
