This historic house was built in 1870 for venerated Savannah architect and city surveyor, John B. Hogg. His most notable Savannah works include the plans for Forsyth Park and Trinity Methodist Church (1848). Like many architects at the time, John B. Hogg worked in both Gothic and Greek Revival styles. A reproduction of his 1868 Map of Savannah is located in the foyer of this historic residence. The 3-story house has been totally remodeled with modern plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Spray foam insulation in the roof rafters improves the overall energy efficiency of this historic home. Owner pays for Ring security and Orkin pest control. Street parking and unreserved off-street parking available.
