An outdoor shower is available for washing off after a day at the beach. Bikes and beach supplies are shared amenities with the upstairs unit and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The laundry room is shared with separate access next to the unit and is only available during day hours. The parking area is also shared, with one space reserved for the Turtle Hideaway. Vilano Beach is a quiet coastal community known for its sandy Atlantic shoreline and a fishing pier extending into the Tolomato River. Surrounding the pier are casual beach grills, pizza places, and a marina, all marked by the Bluebird of Happiness, a restored vintage statue. The Vilano Beach Nature Boardwalk, near the Francis and Mary Usina Bridge, features mosaic art of local wildlife. Downtown St. Augustine is just a 5-8 minute drive away. Quiet hours are enforced between 10pm and 8am per St. Johns County ordinance. The minimum age to book is 21, and the primary guest must be present for the duration of the stay. No parties or large group gatherings are allowed, and any guests outside of the reservation must vacate the property during quiet hours. A security camera is actively recording at the front door, and tampering with it may result in reservation cancellation. No pets are allowed on the property at any time, and no smoking or vaping is allowed, including on the front porch. If evidence of smoking is found, an additional cleaning fee will be charged. Late check-outs and early check-ins are subject to a $50 per hour fee if not pre-approved. Guests are liable for any property damage during their stay. The home is not child-proofed, so parents with young children should use the home at their own risk. Checkout procedures must be followed, and any excessive mess will result in additional cleaning fees.
