WE DO NOT RENT INDIVIDUAL ROOMS~~~ ******A MAXIMUM OF 5 STUDENTS (ONE PER ROOM)****** ~~~~~SINGLE OCCUPANCY PER ROOM ONLY FOR DURATION OF LEASE~~~~~ This waterfront historic 5-bedroom home is directly on the Naugatuck River. It is close to the confluence of the Housatonic River which flows out to the Long Island Sound. The Shelton-Derby-Ansonia River Walk is close by & great for keeping in shape or just enjoying a walk or bike ride away from traffic. There is a nice yard with a picnic table and gas grill, as well as a large yard at the water's edge with another picnic table, chairs & gas grill. You can sit and have a nice fire in the provided fire pit. There is also a canoe with life jackets and paddles for your enjoyment. Great fishing, too! The Naugatuck River is stocked twice a year with salmon! The house is completely furnished and equipped with full-sized stacking washer/dryer in the main level hallway. There is a dishwasher, ceramic cooktop & oven, full-sized refrigerator, dorm-sized refrigerator (in the stairwell), microwave, toaster, Keurig coffeemaker, rice cooker, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, mugs, cooking and eating utensils, etc. A 40" LED flat-screen TV is mounted to the wall in the great room as well as a TV in each bedroom. Electric, gas, internet, and water are included (no bills to worry about). Window air conditioning units will be in every room for the warm months. There is a vacuum cleaner, duster & broom. All linens, blankets, hand/dish towels, personal bathmats, and all trash /garbage pails are also included. You'll like the layout of the house because the kitchen is open to the living room. This makes it nice for socializing while cooking and cleaning up. The kitchen table and benches are handmade from old wood and are built-in. There are two couches with an ottoman for lounging. The water views from there are great! You'll see waterfowl, deer, and other wildlife come and go. The rustic wooden walls and floors throughout the house give it a cabin feel. There is a full walk-through pantry with plenty of storage off the kitchen, a ceiling fan in the great room, and window coverings on every window (nicely private). Both bathrooms have shower stalls with white marble tile bases. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed and four bedrooms have a full-sized bed. All of the bedrooms have a desk/chair, dresser, lamps, door mirror, fan, hamper, waste pail, hangers, and a nice area rug making it super easy to move in and out!! Weekly cleaning of the common areas is included along with all paper products, dish and hand soap. Lawn and yard maintenance is also included. Please bear in mind that Jump off Campus only allows 10 pictures to be posted, therefore if you would like additional pics, we will provide more. We are renting the house to a group, not individual rooms, for $4,000 per month. That's only $800 each with everything included and no major moving in or out!! There is a 2 month security deposit required at the lease signing. Again, the house is only 4 miles from the UNH Orange campus, 8 miles/12k (approx. 15 minutes) from the University of New Haven (UNH) and Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU), and Yale University. It is 12 miles from UB (University of Bridgeport) and well within commuting distance to Sacred Heart University (SHU) and Quinnipiac University. If you are attending college and need student housing, the Lower Naugatuck Valley is a great place to spend a semester OR MORE! We are a husband and wife team that has been renting to college students for 17 years now.
