During my sabbatical, my son (7) and I are renting our colorful, slightly quirky, 1953 home with yard in South Claremont. This is a modest, clean, single-story with ample natural light, a master bedroom (king size bed), second bedroom (full size tall loft bed), and small office with desk. One small bathroom with bathtub is in the main area of the house. A second bathroom with shower is near the living room off the attached converted garage (quirky). This is an ideal place for 1-2 caring students or professionals, a couple, or a small family (2-3 people). The house has a fully-equipped galley kitchen with refinished original steel cabinets and gas stove. A *counter-top* dishwasher, toaster oven (or microwave if preferred), blender, electric kettle, and coffee maker are available for use if desired. Functional *older models* washer and dryer are also available for use in the attached converted garage. The house is situated in a quiet, walkable, family-friendly neighborhood with mid-century ranch style homes near Blaisdell Park and Oak Park Cemetery. Walking distance to Claremont train station 15 min; downtown Claremont/Claremont Colleges 20 min; Oakmont Elementary 10 min. Distance to WesternU campus: drive ~10 min; bike ~20 min; bus ~40 min We love our home and are hoping to find someone who will enjoy and care for it as if it were their own.
