When you move to your new Racine apartment, be sure to take your bicycle. This picture-perfect city on the shore of Lake Michigan is home to several bike paths and trails. The Lake Michigan Pathway is nearly 10 miles long and connects with the North Shore Trail. The Seven Waters Trail is a continuous trail consisting of three named trails: the Burlington Trail, the Norway Trail, and the Waterford Trail. Combined, the trail is over 10 miles long. The Root River Pathway stretches east to west along the river, from the Main Street Bridge and extending four miles to Colonial Park.

The Village of Wind Point is the location of the historic Wind Point Lighthouse. The lighthouse grounds feature beautiful lakefront views, an ideal location for a summer picnic. Although the park is open all year, tours of the lighthouse are available July-September.

The Racine Art Museum features more than 10,000 square feet of galleries, with both permanent collections and traveling exhibitions. For a more kid-friendly day out, the Racine Zoo features an aviary, a discovery center, Giraffe Encounters, a gift shop, and an impressive variety of animals that includes mammals, birds, fish, amphibians, reptiles, and invertebrates.

Rent an apartment in Racine and enjoy great shopping, wonderful restaurants, bakeries featuring the delicious Danish Kringle, beautiful parks, and a lakefront lifestyle that includes boating, fishing, swimming, and skiing. In winter, Racine is transformed into a snow-covered wonderland, perfect for sledding, skiing, and snowmobiling.
