Walnut Hill is a well-established neighborhood in Roanoke. It has many single-family homes and is located below Mill Mountain. The Living River exhibit presents water emerging from a mountain spring and expanding into rivers of piedmont, then flowing into oceans. This is just one of the many wonders of water that the exhibit portrays. The Big Mouth exhibit is the only one of its kind. Part of the exhibit is an enormous mouth, and the exhibit focuses on oral hygiene. The Geology Gallery is very physical and explores rocks, the physical earth, and the history of life on earth.
