Tobin Hill is a neighborhood in San Antonio, Texas. The borders of the neighborhood are I-35 to the south, West Huisache Avenue to the north, Highway 281 to the east, and San Pedro Avenue to the west. The neighborhood lies to the north of central San Antonio, but is still considered part of the inner city. This historic neighborhood’s origins go back to the late 18th century.

The houses in this neighborhood reflect the different stages in its development. There are Victorian mansions, craftsmen bungalows, and early apartment buildings. San Antonio College is located within the Tobin Hill neighborhood, with the historic Otto Koehler House on the college’s campus. Tobin Hill was home to the Pearl Brewery.

Crockett Park is divided in two by Main Avenue. It was first created as an open space in 1875 as part of a legal agreement between the city and the owner. It would take another forty years to really turn it into a park, however. The park was improved in the late 1990s to make it the lovely park it is today. The San Antonio Summer Art and Jazz Festival is held annually at Crockett Park.

The Pearl Farmers Market is located along the San Antonio River, and is open year round. Vendors must be from within a 150 miles of San Antonio to sell at the market. Here residents can find everything from the freshest fruits and vegetables to cheeses and baked goods.

Tobin Hill has a little of everything. It is home to the Metropolitan Methodist Hospital, plenty of interesting local restaurants and shops, bed and breakfasts, and both private and public schools.
