Springvale is located in zip code 78227. The Interstate 410 Freeway runs through the community, San Antonio lies to the northeast, and Lackland Air Force Base sits along the neighborhood’s eastern border.

Of the many appealing aspects of living in Springvale is Lackland Terrace Park, which lies just outside of the community to the north. This 7.2-acre site features a playground, athletic fields, picnic areas, a hiking and biking trail, and the Virginia Gill Community Center, which offers a variety of programs for children and adults.

Royal Gate Park is another popular spot to the southeast. This park has a track, small forest, tennis court, basketball court, and picnic area. Pearsall Park is located to the east of Springvale. This 240-acre park offers miles of hiking trails through forested land.
