Olmos Park Terrace Apartments for Rent(hide neighborhood information)
As part of the City of Olmos Park, Olmos Park Terrace belongs to its own city and the Greater San Antonio Metropolitan Area. Olmos Park is one of the wealthier areas of San Antonia and presents the image of established, classical San Antonia culture. The city brings in $65,697 annually per capita. Olmos Park Terrace is a neighborhood in between San Pedro and McCullough Avenues, bordered by Basse Road and Dora Street.
Olmos Park Terrace is right next to the famous Alamo Quarry shopping centre, Olmos Park Golf Course, and San Pedro Driving Range. The Alamo Quarry shopping center features a wide variety of vendors and restaurants, including Texas’s own Amy’s Ice Cream. The golf course opened in 1963 and is famous for its long and difficult par 3s. The sidewalks in the neighborhood are friendly to joggers, although many areas of Olmos Park Terrace are bordered by economically-deprived sections of San Antonio and many residents remain in the Terrace or within the city limits of Olmos Park.
Not far from the neighborhood, there is a local TriPoint YMCA off of McAllister and 281 that is frequented by many of the populace. There is a local HEB that supplies Olmos Park Terrace’s grocery needs, as well as some established “old time” diners on McCullough Avenue. San Pedro Avenue is dotted with fast food restaurants, drug stores and the San Antonio Gun Club.
The community is nice, but down to earth. If one is looking for a place to settle down, Olmos Park Terrace is perfect for the average family who would like a touch of classic San Antonio.
