Dijon Heights is a neighborhood in San Antonio, Texas. The southern border of the neighborhood is West Nottingham Place, the western border is Peter Baque Road. The north is Lorenz Road and the east is Broadway Street. Dijon Heights is located northeast of downtown San Antonio and is part of the great Alamo Heights School District.
The Dijon Heights neighborhood is located conveniently to let commuters to get to Interstate 410 and highway 281. This allows for easy access to downtown.
St. Anthony of Padua Church was founded in 1927 to serve the needs of the neighborhood workers. It was the brainchild of Father Peter Baque. This always has been a very socially active parish and they are dedicated to their patron saint who is also the patron saint of San Antonio.
Padua Place is located in the Dijon Heights neighborhood. It is a retirement home and medical facility that ministers to elderly and infirm priests from the San Antonio Diocese as well as throughout the state, country and even the world. The Missionary Servants of Saint Anthony are a religious order of nuns who staff Padua Place. They are assisted by the Friends of Padua who help them provide care and assistance to the residents.
Dijon Heights is for the most part a residential neighborhood. Residents who enjoy golf can play at Olmos Basin Golf Course, which is located near the neighborhood. The majority of homes in the neighborhood are condominiums. There are several different complexes that offer homes on both Lorenz Road and Broadway Street. They offer a variety of different style and size options.
